Getting started

Pin AI Translator in Chrome, open it and sign in with Google. Choose your target language; Ukrainian is selected initially. Enter text in the popup, or select a phrase on a webpage and click the small translation icon. Source-language detection is available. The default icon mode waits for your click; instant-selection mode sends selected text automatically when you enable it.

Translate a page with Pro

With Pro, choose the page tab and start translation on an eligible website. A small panel shows progress and lets you pause or restore the original text. New eligible page text is translated while the session is active. The session can continue after you close the popup. For Free accounts, choosing webpage translation opens the Pro purchase page.

A webpage can contain more text than your remaining monthly allowance. Already translated sections stay readable if the allowance runs out. Restoring the original does not refund successful translations.

Characters and renewal dates

Free provides 100,000 source characters per calendar month, up to 4,000 per request, and resets on the first day at 00:00 UTC. Pro provides 2,000,000 per monthly subscription window, up to 50,000 per request. Annual payment still gives a separate monthly allowance. The Pro renewal date follows the original subscription date in UTC; a missing day uses that month's last day without changing the original anniversary. Unused characters do not carry over.

Usage counts Unicode code points in source text, including spaces and punctuation. Characters are reserved before processing, charged once after success and released after failure, cancellation or expiry. The account area shows used, reserved and remaining characters and the next reset date.

Tone and optional context

Free uses a neutral tone. Pro also offers formal, friendly and technical tones. Enable the page-context switch only when you want up to 2,000 characters of visible surrounding text from the current page included in an AI request. Inputs, passwords, editable controls, hidden text and HTML are excluded from this context. Read the privacy policy before sending confidential text.

Local translation history

The history tab stores completed translations only on this device, separately for each account and billing environment, with no cloud sync. Free shows the latest 20 entries; Pro shows up to 1,000. Storage is limited to 1,000 entries or 25 MiB, removing the oldest entries when needed. You can delete individual entries, clear all history or turn recording off. Downgrading alone does not delete older entries; signing out preserves them. Uninstalling removes local extension storage.

Subscriptions and payment

Pro is US$4.99 per month or US$39.99 per year. Open Upgrade to Pro and sign in on the secure billing website with the same Google account as the extension. Stripe handles payment details; the extension does not receive card numbers. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage subscription opens your billing account so you can manage renewal; cancelling keeps access through the paid period.

After payment, return to the extension and refresh account status. Paid access is granted only after the server confirms the paid subscription, not simply after opening the success page. If confirmation is delayed, check the account and contact support with the receipt or subscription identifier instead of paying again. Test builds use separate test billing and do not grant live Pro access. Refund and dispute conditions are described in the Terms.

Where it works

AI Translator works on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS pages where site access is allowed, including accessible frames and open Shadow DOM. Chrome internal pages, Chrome Web Store pages, the browser's PDF viewer, canvas content and closed Shadow DOM are not supported. Editable fields, hidden content and code blocks are skipped. Different text lengths can change line wrapping.

Something went wrong

For a connection error, check your network and retry. If sign-in expires, open the extension and sign in again. If a website repeatedly replaces its content, pause and restart page translation. For UPDATE_REQUIRED, install the current extension version. For a quota error, check the account's remaining characters and reset date. The popup's width stays at 420 pixels.
